Wheat Grass - How Important is It?

!#8# Wheat Grass - How Important is It?

Wheatgrass is grown from the wheat berry, which is the whole kernel of the wheat grain. It may look like other grasses but make no mistake about it. Wheat grass is one of the most complete living foods available to man. The superior quality and variety of its nutrients are what set it apart from other grasses.

Its regenerative qualities are unsurpassed. Probably the main reason why wheat grass is so important is that its chemical molecular structure is VERY similar to that of human red blood cells, thereby enhancing the blood's capacity to carry oxygen to every cell of the body. In fact your blood's ability to carry oxygen can expand by up to 20% when wheat grass is a regular part of your diet.

But there are many other reasons why wheat grass is so important. Below is a very short list of them:

1.      It is one of the richest sources of vitamins A and C.

2.      Wheat grass provides organic iron to the blood, which improves our circulation.

3.      Wheat grass juice is one of the best sources of living chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the first product of light and, therefore, contains more light energy than any other element.

4.      Wheatgrass is high in oxygen like all green plants that contain chlorophyll.  The brain and all body tissues work at their best in a highly-oxygenated environment.

5.      Chlorophyll can be extracted from many plants, but wheatgrass is superior because it has been found to have over 100 elements needed by man. If grown in organic soil, it absorbs 92 of the known 102 minerals from the soil.

6.      Wheatgrass Juice keeps your hair from graying.

7.      It helps to eliminate drug deposits from your body.

8.      It helps to eliminate blood sugar problems.

9.      Wheat grass is considered a complete food because it contains all of the necessary amino acids for the human body.

Wheatgrass is a powerful cleanser inside the human body. That's why you may feel nauseous soon after taking it. This is a reaction to the release of toxins within your system. It is best to start out slowly, with one ounce or so, then gradually increase the intake to four ounces at a time.

A very important thing to keep in mind is that wheatgrass juice is not stable and tends to go rancid quickly. So it is best to drink it right after juicing and definitely within fifteen minutes of juicing. However, cut grass will store for a week or so in a refrigerator if stored in a plastic bag or container.

Because of the amazing healing properties of wheat grass it is a key component of the Hippocrates Health Lifestyle.
